A befitting funeral ceremony fit for any statesman was held in Accra over the weekend for the late Fennec Okyere, ex-manager of hip-life artiste Kwaw Kesse.
Last Friday night, a free music show dubbed �Fennec Okyere Memorial Concert� was held at the forecourt of the deceased�s residence located at Manet Gardens off the Spintex Road and on Saturday, his burial service took place at the forecourt of the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.
Personalities including Politicians, Musicians, Movie Stars, Businessmen, the media, Chiefs, queen mothers, friends and family gathered to support Kwaw Kese and his MadTime Entertainment crew to bid Fennec final goodbye. Some of the notable faces included: Rappers Obrafour, Sarkodie, 4X4, D-Cryme, Pope Skinny, and Gospel musicians including Lady Prempeh, Ohemaa Mercy, O.J, Grace Arshy were all there to support.
Fennec�s murder at his home on Wednesday March 12, 2014, broke the hearts of many in the entertainment industry and shook the nation. His killers are, however, still at large.
Fennec, 31, is survived by a wife and a child. Surprisingly, Fennec�s wife was prevented from attending the funeral. Meanwhile, the Police Administration have announced a cash reward of GH�20,000 to any person or persons who would volunteer credible information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in Fennec�s murder.
The Police statement, signed by the Commissioner, Criminal Investigative Department (CID) at the National Police Headquarters, P.K Agblor, also called on persons with information on the killers to �contact the Police on 0302773695, 0302773906, 0302761733 or report to the Public Affairs Directorate at the National Police Headquarters.
