GHone television presenter Nana Aba Anamoah has been appointed ambassador for women’s football and will officially be unveiled on Thursday at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The appointment by the Sports Ministry is to increase the awareness, popularize and also raise funds for women's football with her personal brand. Anamoah alongside lawyer Sandra Ankobiah will be working in tandem to raise the profile of the national women’s teams in Ghana.
Nana Aba, a staff of the EIB group, has welcomed the appointment and bent on propelling the game in the country.
“I am happy with the appointment and wish the game becomes popular as the men’s game anytime soon at the back of what happened recently when the Black Queens won gold at the AAG in Congo.
"I will make sure sports journalists talk more on women's football,” she told Starr Sports.
