Former President, Jerry Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, will on Saturday grace this year’s 'Surfline Ghana's Fastest Human' competition which begins at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
The 100 metres heats dash competition is aimed at unearthing sprints talents for Ghana.
Qualifiers from the heat will progress to the final of finals to be held in Kumasi on Saturday September 26.
For the first time the event will feature private schools led by Ghana International School, (GIS) competing with government assisted schools in the U-10 and U-13 categories.
The event will feature athletes from the Ashanti Region, Greater Accra Region, Eastern Region and Upper East Region.
There will also be an open race for Under-18 and the Seniors. Students will have their heats on August 29 at the National Championships in Wa at which the fastest five boys and girls from each of the 10 regions will be selected for the final of finals in Kumasi.
Surfline Ghana's Fastest Human 2015, is being powered by GNPC with First Atlantic Bank, Pippas Gym and Moringa King.
