The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Professor Kwame Karikari, as the chairman of the Board of Trustees formed to over see the management of a special endowment fund for retired footballers.
Professor Karikari, will head a five member committee made up of veteran coach and former Black Stars player Ibrahim Sunday as the vice chairman.
The committee also includes; Eric Ashitey, lawyer Kweku Eyiah, a member of the Executive Committee of the GFA and Seth Doe Agyin.
The newly formed Board of Trustees has been tasked to oversee the raising of funds and also manage the funds to cater for retired footballers.
The special fund is in partnership with the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
