Four women were arrested at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for allegedly selling fake tickets a day before Ghana played Mali in a 2010 final Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier.
The Police retrieved nine booklets containing some of tickets which had already been sold out amounting to 385 Ghana cedis.
Two friends who bought advance tickets on Saturday and wanted to sit together, realized each ticket bore the same serial number. They reported the matter to the stadium authorities.
The Ashanti Regional Police command have intensified their search for the source behind the fake tickets. The four arrested persons are in police custody.
