Ghanaian youngster Akwesi Frimpong has signed a three-year deal with Serbian outfit FK Vojvodina for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old had pre-season training with giants Partizan Belgrade but Vojvodina played a first one by making a hefty offer.
Frimpong, a centre-back, completes his move from local second-tier side DC United.
In 2008, the player was voted the best player at the Romeo and Julliet Youth tourney in Italy.
He also trained with Vicenza but the Italian side could not complete his registration.
Frimpong joins compatriot Yaw Antwi at the club from the Novi Sad province.
