Striker Asamoah Gyan is set to play his first game for UAE side Al Ain on Friday evening.
The 25-year-old has been training with the side since last week but missed the last Fridays Etisalat Pro Cup opener against Wahdah.
Gyan must return to winning after the opening day defeat against Dubai Club at the Dubai Stadium.
He is reported to have shown great technical abilities in applying the coachs instructions on the field. He made a bizarre move last month and has announced his readiness for a new challenge in the Gulf after playing in Europe since 17.
