Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has stated that his team approaches every single match in the on-going Africa Cup of Nations with the same mentality and seriousness.
Kwesi Appiah made this clear after the Stars trashed their Nigerien opponent in the last group B match of the AFCON 2013 in South Africa by three goals to nil.
He also lauded the players for exhibiting such a brilliant performance during their game against Niger.
“When you build a team let say in a competition, you normally don’t except the players to be at the highest level but you have to design them to fit in your team,” he said at a post press conference.
He added that; “the players were tactically discipline depending on the attacking ones. I will say we are at the half way and can do much better than we’ve done before.”
Ghana beat Niger in spectacular fashion to meet Cape Verde in the quarter finals of the ongoing Nations Cup tournament in South Africa.
Asamoah Gyan scored his first tournament goal and set up two others as the Black Stars run rout over group underdogs Niger.
