Inter Allies inched closer to a dream qualification to the Ghanaian top-flight after a hard-fought 2-0 win over Okwahu United on Wednesday.
Allies scored a goal in each half to set them on course to their debut season in the Ghana Premier League next season.
They recorded a comprehensive 7-2 win over Nania FC in their first game to bag six points from two games.
They need a draw to against Danbort FC in their last game to secure qualification in zone 3 middle league.
It is a massive blow to Okwahu fans who have been craving for the return of the soccer mountaineers to the top-tier.
They may have to wait a little longer to achieve that feat as they need a miracle to make it to the top once again.
In the other game in the group Danbort recorded a 2-0 win over whipping boys Nania FC at the Baba Yaya stadium.
