The newly-constructed Cape-Coast Sports Stadium will be named after the late President of Ghana John Evans Atta Mills.
The Ministry of Sports has ordered the 15,000 capacity multi-purpose arena be named after the late President of Ghana.
The edifice which is nearing completion is being constructed by government as an addition to the already existing four stadia in the country thus the Accra Sports Stadium, Babayara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Takoradi Sports Stadium and the Tamale Sports Stadium.
The stadium complex which will have several facilities and equipment for all Sporting disciplines is expected to be completed in two months’ time.
Ex-President John Evans Atta Mills was known for his immense interest in Sports, helping in the development of the game in the country.
