The Ghana Football Association has officially terminated the contract of coach Bashiru Hayford as head coach of the Ghana U-20 Women's team, the Black Princess, following a request by his club Ashantgold SC, Ghanasportsonline.can confirm.
The Obuasi-based side wrote to the Ghana FA informing the association that coach Bashiru Hayford be relieved of his national team duties to enable him have sufficient time for the Miners.
Ashantigold have a firm grip on the Ghana Premier League and looks set to clinch their first league trophy since 1995.
"We went into mutual agreement with the coach to get himself absolute concentration for the club because we cannot afford to slip this time around", Ashgold PRO Kofi Yawson told Ghanasportsonline.com
"We therefore agreed to write to the GFA to relieve him of his duties in order to have ample time for the club in our quest to win the league trophy".
Ashgold holds a 7 point lead at the top of the GPL log sheet after clawing up 40 points from 21 matches.
