Hearts keeper Soulama Abdoulaye has taken full responsibility for his side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Burkinabe international directed a harmless back pass into his own net in the game’s only goal much to his dismay and that of Hearts fans.
After being sent off to compound his misery, Soulama has indicted it was a bad day at the office for him but has left the situation in God’s hands
“Everyone has a bad day and mine came in the game against Kotoko and it pains me.”
“I give everything that is happening to God so I rely on God so I am sure I will overcome.”
“If something has to happen, it will happen. I don’t have anything to say but leave everything to God.”
“This is normal, it is part of the game. If a back pass comes and it is my mistake, I will take it. I will take it as a mistake.”
“I won’t say it is a cheap goal but a mistake.”
“People called me to encourage, to push me up but in my mind I am not free.”
“No one offered me a bribe and God knows in my heart it is not true. He knows the truth.”
Soulama will now miss Hearts’ next two games after receiving a straight red card.
