Promising young Ghanaian referee Emmanuel Offei has died in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
The incident occurred at Adukrom, a town near Koforidua.
According to an eye witness Henry Asare, a mini bus with registration number ER 4212 C failed in an attempt to climb a small hill on the Adukrom road running over the poor referee who was standing by the road side.
The body has since been deposited at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital at Mampong Akuapem in the Eastern Region.
Referee Emmanuel Offei was one of the referee who have been officiating in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
