The Foxes manager spoke about his team selection after leaving out the Ghana defender on Saturday, insisting no player is a certainty to play.
Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has reiterated that none of his players including Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp is guaranteed a starting role in his team.
This comes after the 23-year-old defender, who has been heavily linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion, was not named in the Foxes' squad that suffered a 2-1 defeat to Hull City in the season's opening game on Saturday.
Schlupp played 24 games and scored one goal as the club won its first-ever Premier League title last season.
"I can only choose the first 11 [out of the lots available]," Ranieri said while explaining Schlupp's snub.
"He, of course, wants to play and I can't say yes, you can play every match. Then we see what happens. We will speak together," he added.
Leicester became the first reigning champions to lose on opening day of a new season since Arsenal were beaten in the 1989/90 campaign opener.
