Former Ghana goalkeepers Richard Kingson and Abukari Damba have been selected as the two favorite candidates to land the Black Stars goalkeepers Coach job. Ghanasportsonline.com can report.
Sources reveal to Ghanasportsonline.com that the Ghana Football Association and the Black Stars management committee are likely to settle on one of the two Coaches.
Either Kingson or Damba will be named as part of the new technical bench which will be headed by Kwesi Appiah who was re-appointed as the Black Stars Coach.
Kingson, 36, has been to two FIFA World Cups with the Black Stars team after representing the country at the 2006 and 2010 editions of the competition.
He recently retired from active football after a brief spell with his former Club Accra Great Olympics.
Damba on the other hand was a member of the Black Stars 1992 squad that won silver at the Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal.
He previously worked as the goalkeepers trainer for Accra Hearts of Oak and currently attached with division one side Dreams FC as the goalkeepers Coach.
A new Black Stars backroom staff is expected to be announced in the coming days.
