Britain-based Kick It Out want black players in the Italian topflight to stay out of action this weekend following the Ghanaian’s one-match ban.
Britain’s anti-discrimination organization Kick It Out is calling for a strike by all black players in Italy in protest against Sulley Muntari’s one-match ban following Sunday’s racist incident in Cagliari.
The Pescara midfielder is set to sit out Saturday’s clash with Napoli after picking up two yellow cards - one for dissent after complaining of racist chants directed at him by Cagliari fans and another for walking off the pitch - as his side lost 1-0 at StadioSant’Elia.
FIFPro, the worldwide representative organization for professional footballers, had called on the bookings to be “rescinded”, but Italian football authorities on Tuesday upheld referee Daniele Minelli’s decision, arguing that the racist chants came from approximately 10 people, which was less than one per cent of about 2000 people who occupied the area of the Sant’Elia Stadium where the noise emanated from.
“Kick It Out has made representation to FIFPro, the World Players’ Union, to share its frustrations about the treatment of Sulley Muntari by the FIGC (the Italian Football Federation),” Kick It Out said in a statement.
“The gutless failure to not take action by the Italian authorities should not be allowed to pass.
“It’s unbelievable that Cagliari escaped punishment as ‘only 10’ fans were involved. This situation should never be allowed to happen again.
“Garth Crooks, an independent Kick It Out Trustee, is calling for every self-respecting black player in the Italian League to not play this weekend unless the Italian authorities withdraw the ban on Sulley Muntari.”
According to FIFPro, Muntari, who only joined Pescara on January, was well within his rights to approach referee Daniele Minelli, as the first point of reference, to make his grievances known and seek a solution”.

It is amazing how people can easily miss the point and the issue at stake. Kweku, your comments are very distasteful. Ataa Ayi wants us to accept racism because he was able to sustain it for nine years. I sustained it for 10 years but will fight against it at all levels and in all places. And for your information Sulley is one player that had and is still playing in the best leagues in the world in the best teams as well. It takes one individual with the will and power to change a generation and their psychic. Who told you advance economies do not experience bad leadership. The issue is YOU, KWEKU, ATTA AYI not anybody. When you change your mind about yourself and what you are capable of achieving irrespective of who is leading you, then our race will see light. Sulley, never accept racism and fight like the person you are. We cannot politicize everything. Let the change of attitude and the zeal to transform our communities start with us. Let us point the fingures to our predicament first to ourselves, like proverb of a warrior, if you know you can lead, pick up the sword, but it thrust first into your thigh. Let it get healed. Then when you start slaying people, you will know no fear. Blacks and Africa will succeed and excel come what may and "Yes, We Will"
The white child was charitable on Sulley Muntari, because in truth black people are below Monkeys. No Monkey in leadership position will inflating contracts and go to Mosque on Fridays or church on Sundays. Late president Nkrumah had it wrong about the black man or woman, we are not fit to rule ourselves. We should work hard to become Monkeys and from Monkeys to humans. As president for 4years, what did Mr. Mahama do to make Ghana worth staying so that Muntari could have return and played for Kotoko or Heart Oak? The world not miss the black race if we are not there, because we don’t produce essential goods but we always want them. We are disgracing the God who made us as black people and if He truly exist then He must help us to become like white brothers and sisters. We still want to be slaves when the slavery has been abolished long time ago. We sleep at Embassies, Consulates and High Commissions to be slaves, because we have been electing ***barred word*** to rule us. We should start electing sensible beings to rule us, so that our country becomes Japan, China, South Korea and the rest. As black people, we should change the way we think, act and behave, that white children will see as their fellow human beings. If we don’t change the situation will worsen as time goes on, when the white children will us as bananas instead of Monkeys. A word to wise is enough. Good morning Ghana, Good morning Mr. Mahama.

please post if you want help and the black as a whole.
so far as I use a white toilet role to wipe my ***barred word***,am still fine and muntari never worried.
Why all this noise about racism in Italy. Sulley Muntari should stop getting media attention and rather play well on the pitch.Blacks in Italy are always the target of verbal and physical attacks from Italians. If Sulley continues like this then he can't play a single match and no team will give him a contract. The best thing for Sulley is to move to a better country where blacks are seen and treated like animals. When I realised how Italians perceive blacks, I left that country after nine years stay. What Sulley is reacting to is nothing compared to what others are going through. Sulley please ***barred word***.
