President and Board chairman of the Ghana Rugby Football Union, Herbert Mensah has described Ghanaian international, Thomas Partey as a special footballer.
The Ghanaian midfielder joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid on Monday night after the English Premier League outfit triggered his release clause of €45 million.
The deal was completed after successful medicals.
Herbert Mensah who is a former Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman gushed over the brilliant footballer by posting on his facebook wall;
"Thomas is an astounding footballer with wonderful qualities. He has strength, speed and ability to read the game (like the great Makele), adapts where required, is fearless and importantly for me can transition from defence into offence.
The EPL is arguably the toughest league in the World and he is joining an Arsenal team in transition and a league which has already started.
I hope the fans will be patient and Arteta will ease him slowly into the game!
Makes me proud to be a Ghanaian.
