Nana Boakye, Parliamentary candidate for Manhyia North has called on the Health Minister Alex Segbefia to negotiate with government to rescind the decision to close certain facilities at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital announced last Friday to temporarily shut down three clinics at the hospital effective Monday February 8.
The three are the Urology, Neurosurgical and General Surgery clinics.
Addressing the issue on 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM, Nana Boakye noted that the temporary closure will pose a major threat to patients at the facility.
According to him, it is not a prudent decision to close the clinics vis-a-vis the challenges that patients are undergoing at the Hospital.
He therefore want the Health Minister to intervene in the Korle Bu situation in order to safeguard the health of Ghanaians.
